The Winter Sowing Workshop
was awesome!
We had 4 super sowers for the class. Thanks Debbie, Claudia, Lexie and Moma. We planted radishes, beets, kale, lettuce, marigolds, snapdragons, coneflowers, sweet peas, basil, thyme and at least a million others I’m forgetting. We planted approximately 10 jugs, two tidy cat containers, a peanut butter jar and an egg carton. Claudia had an idea - we meet back up to compare notes on how our seeds are growing. Genius!
Everyone got to hammer some pansies, ferns and nandina onto a bandana.
We forgot about the rain and made jug and getting hammered jokes.
Next workshop will be hammered flower art - BYOEP - Bring your own ear protection. Stay tuned!
The Goat Locker Podcast can be found at the link below. Why would I start a podcast? Because I could. Really. And I like sharing thoughts, ideas, epiphanies and stuff that inspires me.
Here’s the inside story - proceed at your own risk:
Shiny Girl - because that describes me to a T. I am easily distracted by goats, flowers, music, sunrays through tree branches and good cornbread with no sugar and a couple sticks of butter.
The Rusted Bucket Project began as a container garden business. It was a glorious 3 year “project” that has now metamorphosed into the home base for my blogging, sporadic podcasting, workshops and the not to be missed events at the farm.
I’ve worked as a beautician, bartender, waitress, vet tech, stall cleaner, Burger-King drive thru professional, intelligence specialist and operations specialist in the U.S. Navy, horse handler, garden center employee and gardener, just to name a few. Home has been in NC, FL, MD, VA, TN, IL, NE, MN, KS, PA, and Spain. Now I’m back in NC for good.
I created an award for recognizing awesomeness - when thank you just isn’t enough - and I named it
The Golden Goat Award. There is a link to the award at the top of this page.
I identify as: Taurus, Goat lady, Enneagram 9, rule follower, conflict avoider, kinda funny, nature loving, “shiny girl”.
What is up with all the goat stuff? I like big goats and I can not lie. Always have.
Nice to meet ya.
