The First Annual Goat Beauty Pageant Rodeo, Oct 4, 2025 was so stinking awesome we decided to have one every October.
This year it is scheduled for October 10th. Please put it on your calendar! You won’t be sorry.

Why in the world?
Because - why not? There is always room for silly nonsense - especially if you love goats like I do. This is a family - friendly - fun event that gets you outside. Sit on a bale of hay and watch the contestants go by. The audience votes for their favorite in natural beauty, best costume, best trick and some superlatives. You’ll be served lunch while the trophies are handed out. Goat Therapy (highly recommended) Goat kissing booth and more fun stuff is planned.

In October we usually have a muster — a gathering of my brother Mike’s friends. We’ve replaced the old muster, with the GBPR. This new way of mustering will bring people together to laugh, to remember, and to raise money and awareness for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). It’s a memorial that honors Mike and supports the AFSP.
The AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. On their website, you’ll find resources for getting help, learning how to talk to someone, volunteering, or finding the nearest Out of the Darkness Walk.
Everyone deserves tomorrow. And a little bit of hope.
